Mannimarco's Staff of Worms inspired minimalist artwork - The Elder Scrolls
I started by creating the entire staff head for my design, although later I decided it made the piece feel too stretched and ended up only using the horn like part in the final design.
I created different looking skulls, so I could pick the one I liked best, I used both the 5th and 6th skull designs in two separate mock-ups, but ended up with skull 5 for my final artwork.
Here was an alternate design I made using an edited version of the 6th skull design. I felt this was maybe too dark, and possibly hard to tell what the artwork was at a glance!
